. . . I sell mirrors in the city of the Blind ~ Kabir
To the blind I say
open your eyes
let the light IN
look in the mirror
He spat in the dirt
he made mud
and put it in my eyes
He told me to wash in the river
I did as he said
my eyes were open
there in the river
I saw
me
my neighbor
my love
my enemy
I saw who I was
before and
now
I saw what was
what could be
I saw
the good
the bad
the might have been
To the blind I say
open your eyes
let the light in
look in the mirror
