Where has grace moved in your life?

I am in a perplexion. (New word!) Spent time with a young lady who was released from long term detention. She was released Monday, has temporary housing but no permanent solution, about $5 for food, bus, etc., and had one set of clothes (what she was wearing).

I took her to the Kid’s Closet for clothing (thank you to King County for that!). Then we went out to dinner and onward to grocery shop. So, during the grocery shopping, I discovered she doesn’t know how to tell what is good vegetables/fruit and what isn’t. What is ripe and tasty and what is yucky pie. 

It makes me sad that she is in this situation. But I am overjoyed that she is putting one foot in front of the other. And I am delighted that I had the means through the Youth Chaplaincy Coalition
